spring showers
In this way, the rains that fell in spring allowed good flowering and good fruit setting of the olive tree, the climatic conditions of the coming weeks are therefore decisive to guarantee the good development of the olive tree, in particular in the olive grove of the land arid, in which precipitation in this cultivation phase is essential for oil production.
Agriculture recalled that the data on capacity are preliminary and will be adjusted according to the evolution of the harvest, since it should begin in November.
The second most productive
At the regional level, the estimate reflects a considerable increase in Andalusia, the largest producing community, with an increase of 77% compared to the previous campaign. Andalusian production, estimated at 1,021,000, will represent 81% of the national total, while during the previous campaign it was barely 68%. It is also worth noting the increase in the second producing community, Castilla-La Mancha, with 140,000 tonnes, or 29% more than in the 2023-2024 campaign.
