A ceremony was held in Baku to mark the victory of Azerbaijani judokas at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
Modern.az reports that at the event organized by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, videos were shown showing the most interesting moments of the victories of our judokas at the last Olympic Games.
President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation Rashad Nabiyev, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade and Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov spoke about the victory of our judokas and the attention paid to sport in our country.
At the event, the winners of the last Olympic Games, Hidayat Heydarov and Zelim Kotosyev, were awarded judo gold medals by the International Judo Federation.
New apartments were presented to the winner of the 1992 Summer Olympics Nazim Huseynova, the winner of the 2008 Summer Olympics Elnur Mammadli, and the winners of the 2024 Summer Olympics Hidayat Heydarov and Zelim Kotsoyev, as well as to honored coaches of Azerbaijan Tarlan Hasanov and Elkhan Mammadov.
