A A 61-year-old woman died this Friday and three other people were injured to varying degrees in a road accident between a truck and a van. The fatal accident occurred at dawn, around 7 a.m., at kilometer 57 of the N-627 road, in Pedrosa de Valdelucio, municipality of Valle de Valdelucio (Burgos).
Following the head-on collision, Three of the victims were trapped inside the van, including the deceased.. The other injured are a 61-year-old man, who was evacuated to a mobile emergency intensive care unit to Burgos hospital; and two men aged 44 and 36, who had to be transferred in a basic resuscitation ambulance to the same hospital, according to sources from the 1-1-2 emergency service of Castilla y León.
Members of the Burgos Civil Guard, the Burgos Fire Department and, due to the proximity, also the Palencia Provincial Deputation were brought to the scene. From the Health Emergencies-Sacyl, two ambulances and primary care staff from the Aguilar Health Center in Campoo were sent.
