A young man seriously injured by gunshots during a shooting in front of a nightclub near Valence, on the night of Thursday, October 31 to Friday, October 1Ahem November died, the Privas prosecutor’s office (Ardèche) announced to Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Saturday, November 2.
The young man from Romans-sur-Isère, 22 years old, was shot in the head and was rushed to the Valence hospital with a fatal prognosis.
Two other people, with more minor injuries, remain hospitalized, said deputy prosecutor Charlotte Cerna, adding that the investigation “continue” and has not led to any arrests so far.

The shooting, allegedly related to drug trafficking, occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Friday in the parking lot of a nightclub in Saint-Péray (Ardèche), west of Valence, according to a police source.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the shooter was dressed in black and had his face hidden under a hood. He fired a firearm before fleeing.
The Romans-Péage Rugby Club (RCRP), of which the young man was a member, paid tribute to him on its Facebook page, stating “annihilated again” for this death “in terrible circumstances”. Young Thomas also played in the RCRP, murdered during a dance in Crépol (Drôme) in November 2023.
