One of the country’s largest diamond stones discovered in Russia

A diamond weighing 262.5 carats (52.5 g) was mined in Yakutia (Russian Federation).

Oku.Az The press service of the Russian group of companies Alrosa reported this on September 9.

The gem was discovered by night shift workers of Almazy Anabara company at the Ebelyakh diamond mine in Anabarsky district of Sakha Republic (Yakutia). The find was sent for examination.

“This is the second large diamond found in Russia in the last year. On September 10, 2023, another diamond weighing 390.7 carats (78.14 g) was found at the same Ebelyakh deposit,” the press service added.
