The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed one of the leaders of Hezbollah’s missile program, Mahmoud Youssef Anisi, in Beirut. This was announced on Thursday, October 3, by the IDF press service.
According to the statement, the liquidation occurred as a result of a “targeted attack on an intelligence base by the Israeli Air Force” against the Lebanese capital.
Mahmoud Youssef Anisi, according to the military, was part of the leadership of the Hezbollah unit involved in the production of weapons, including precision missiles.
“Anisi was an important source of knowledge and possessed great technological capabilities in the field of weapons production,” – says a message on the IDF Telegram channel.
