During the investigation, officers verified how the detainee had internalized jihadist ideology. In these contents, the detainee openly expressed his hatred towards everything Western and its way of life.

In his publications, he directly incited the realization of jihad, calling for an uprising of Muslims in the city of Melilla and made comments in support of the Palestinian cause.

Furthermore, aware of the illegality of his activities, the detainee adopted various security measures to avoid being spotted by police officers. All this, combined with the fact that the inmate had intense thoughts of committing an act of martyrdom, led officers to make his arrest last Tuesday.

In addition, they searched two homes, seized various computer equipment, which continues to be analyzed. Investigators thus believe that a danger to national security has been neutralized. Also today, the detainee was placed at the disposal of the Central Investigating Court No. 5 of the National Court, which ordered his imprisonment.
