According to journalist and writer Allister Heath of The Sunday Telegraph, only Israel can prevent the outbreak of World War III. He argues that the West should support the Jewish state in this matter.
Heath emphasizes that to ensure peace, we must first take the lead in the fight against Iran. To avoid a nuclear holocaust, Iran’s nuclear program must be destroyed, he said.
“If we want a better, safer world, Iran’s disgusting theocrats must be eliminated,” he said in his column for The Telegraph.
The author believes that the Iranian regime is the main source of problems in the Middle East and the main exporter of terrorism. Heath describes Iran as an ally of Russia and a friend of China, calling it a “cancer” that threatens humanity. Urges the international community to make the change of power in Iran a priority for all democracies.
Heath also notes that Iran’s recent attack on Israel on October 1 was disastrous for Tehran. The use of some of the missiles weakened its position and showed that Iran miscalculated the reaction of the West and Israel.
“She has exposed herself as a vile and bigoted bully, yet fragile enough to defeat. This time, he (Iran) misunderstood the United States. He underestimated Israel’s appetite for risk and pain,” Heath writes.
He adds that no Israeli government can tolerate constant missile attacks by Iran, which is bent on its destruction.
However, Heath warns of growing anxiety and panic in Iran that could push the regime into further escalation and attempts to achieve nuclear status. He believes that Israel, seeking to ensure its survival and the security of the Jewish people, not only has the right but also the obligation to deal a decisive blow to the Iranian regime.
According to the author, such a measure should have the full support of the West.
