For the first time, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released from Russian captivity received information about the current situation at the front. One of the most unexpected news for them was that Ukrainian troops captured part of the Kursk region.

For the soldiers, who spent more than 900 days in captivity, this information was especially significant, because they were unable to follow the progress of the fighting.
When one of the fighters was informed about the fighting in the Kursk region, he said enthusiastically: “Oooh, this is ours.”
These words reflect not only joy at the news, but also pride in the successes of the Ukrainian army, which have become an important moral support for the soldiers who have returned to freedom.
