Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, during a meeting with representatives of the US Congress, expressed concern over recent developments in Judea and Samaria. During the talks, he commented on the start of a major IDF operation in Samaria, which was launched on August 28.
El-Sisi said Israel’s actions in Judea and Samaria are an escalation that complicates the already tense situation in the region.
“The Israeli escalation in Judea and Samaria complicates the situation in the region,” the Egyptian president said.
It is worth recalling that during Operation Summer Camps in Tulkarm, carried out by Israeli forces, one of the most wanted terrorists in Judea and Samaria, Muhammad Jaber, also known as “Abu Shujaa”, was eliminated.
Recall that the leader of the Hamas terrorist organization, Khaled Mashaal, called for the resumption of suicide attacks against Israel.
The appeal was made on August 29 in the form of a video message at a conference held in Istanbul. In his speech, Meshaal stressed that despite the difficult conditions, armed resistance in Judea and Samaria continues to intensify.
According to Meshal, Hamas intends to resume attacks, which he called “martyrdom operations.” He noted that the current situation can only be resolved through open conflict and stressed that the confrontation with Israel must be waged on all fronts. Meshal also said that the enemy has launched military operations in all directions, which, in his opinion, forces the Palestinians to unite in resistance against the “Zionist entity.”
Earlier this month, Israeli security forces foiled an attempted suicide attack in southern Tel Aviv. Responsibility for organizing the attack was claimed by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, who also declared their intention to continue such attacks until Israel changes its policy toward the Gaza Strip.
