Operation Mossos to dismantle drug gang that killed and hid man’s body in 2023

THE Mossos of the Squara This Tuesday morning, a police force was deployed in the province of Barcelona to dismantle a criminal group, dedicated to drug traffickingaccused of killing and hiding the body of a man in 2023.

As reported by the Corps, the agents managed to locate the body of the missing person and identify the perpetrators of the crime, accused of crimes against public health, as well as criminal disappearance and concealment of the body. They were researchers of the Central Missing Persons Unit those who managed to locate the victim’s body, after months of investigation.

75 soldiers are taking part in the operation, among them, Criminal Investigation Division (DIC), the Special Intervention Group (GEI), the Regional Operational Resources Zone (Arro), the mobile brigade (Brimo), the Scientific and the canine and drone units.

The office of care for families of missing persons is responsible for managing the assistance part, as detailed by the Catalan police. They keep in touch with their relatives and periodically inform them of the progress of the investigations.
