Valencia and Madrid will remain without a rail connection for at least four more days. This was announced this afternoon by the Minister of Transport, Oscar Puentevia his Twitter account.
“The damage to the high-speed line between Madrid and Valencia is significant. Resumption of service in the next four days does not seem possible. When we have a definitive diagnosis on the time needed to rebuild the line, we will make it public” , explained the transport chief.
The connection with Barcelona is also cutalthough in this case it was not due to damage to the railway infrastructure, but rather to the forecast that the DANA would be heading towards Barcelona in the next few hours. Likewise, the service between the capital of Turia and Tarragona as well as the Cercanías network and the Valencia metro are interrupted.
