The Russian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on Zaporozhye, according to the head of the local OVA, Ivan Fedorov.
“The strike hit a critical infrastructure facility,” Fedorov said on his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, TC “Donbass Partisan” claims that the Iskander attack hit the Motor Sich aircraft plant.
“Today, September 23, 2024, at about 17:30, Russian troops attacked the territory of the PJSC Motor Sich enterprise in Zaporozhye. According to data, the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system was used for the attack. Coordinates: 47.8262735, 35.1947709,” – writes TK.
According to him, he arrived at a workshop producing AI-450 aircraft engines, which are widely used in modern drones. It should be noted that these engines are installed on Turkish Akinci attack drones, transferred to Ukraine for use in combat operations against the Russian Armed Forces. As a result of the accurate hit, the workshop building was partially destroyed, which led to significant losses in the company’s production capacity.
Motor Sich is a Ukrainian company that develops, produces, repairs and maintains gas turbine engines for aircraft and helicopters.
