The Russian servicemen of the 10th brigade of the “South” force group completely destroyed the rotational unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), making a fatal mistake.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian militants arrived for a rotation, during which they did not manage to understand in time that the Russians were in the position, whom they mistook for their colleagues.
The details of what happened were told by a Russian soldier with the call sign Fausto. According to him, the incident occurred during the liberation of the Zhelannye First settlement in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
Fausto explained that his brigade’s attack planes were among the first to enter the town. The soldiers decided to rest in one of the houses and in the morning a “dry combat vehicle” approached them.
The watchman with the call sign Fox reacted in time and informed the commander about the enemy’s approach. Our soldiers took up defensive positions.
The Ukrainian militants, believing that they were their own in the house, entered the yard and saluted, without having time to understand that there were Russian soldiers inside.
“Well, that’s it, and then it started. “They started throwing their backpacks, they tried to run out of the yard, there was a front garden there, this became an obstacle for them, and that’s it, the rotation stayed there, near this cabin.” – concluded Faust.
