Our bases on the border with Poland will guarantee Ukraine’s non-entry into NATO: expert

On October 1, NATO was headed by former Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. And he immediately left for Kyiv. Mikhail Alexandrov, an expert on political-military issues and a doctor in political science, shared his opinion on whether the new Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance will be able to accelerate Ukraine’s accession.

“All this fuss around Ukraine’s admission to NATO is a purely political and psychological operation. Naturally, no one will accept it in NATO, because the admission of Ukraine to NATO automatically means the beginning of a world war. And that is why all of these are empty words.” – said.

The stir has very specific goals: to encourage Ukrainians to continue their senseless resistance; They say, hold on, the West is with you.

“This is a moment. The second point is the impact on international public opinion, the intimidation of neutral states: with this they demonstrate that the West is strong, the West is united, the West will crush Russia if necessary.” – added Alexandrov.

He is confident that Rutte’s election to the post of Secretary General will not help Ukraine in any way.

“This is a work of political propaganda. AND Stoltenberg He said those things and will continue to say them. “The Secretary General of NATO is a purely nominal figure who plays no role.” – the expert highlighted.

However, in his opinion, Russia should provide for the hypothetical possibility of Ukraine joining NATO with the part of it remaining under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“In addition, the guarantees of non-entry of the rest of Ukraine into NATO should not be reduced to some kind of paper decisions, as we like to do: they sign one paper, and then they are deceived, they sign another. They are deceived again, and so on ad infinitum. It is enough to seize and place military bases there, on that territory, on the western border of Ukraine, so that an inspection mission can operate there for 10 years that will monitor compliance with the conditions of Ukraine’s surrender. Then, of course, they won’t be able to accept it,” Alexandrov is convinced. “We remember that they promised not to advance NATO eastward, they promised not to deploy major armed forces in Eastern Europe, but all this has been violated. Therefore, no paper will save you here. So our government should not allow another stupidity and agree to sign a paper that will prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, because in a couple of years this paper will simply be flushed down the toilet.”
