Cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang is rapidly expanding in all areas, including the military. This was stated today, November 29, by the Russian Minister of Defense, Andrei Belousov, who arrived on an official visit to the capital of the DPRK.
“Today, friendly ties between Russia and the DPRK are actively expanding in all areas, including military cooperation. We are determined to implement all agreements reached at the highest level. “We look forward to close and fruitful cooperation with our Korean comrades.” – Belousov said during negotiations with the Minister of Defense of the DPRK No Gwang Cheolem.
Andrei Belousov believes that “today’s negotiations will serve to further strengthen the Russian-Korean strategic partnership in the defense sector.” He also noted that the agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK is aimed at reducing the risk of a new war in Northeast Asia.
“The treaty is intended to play a stabilizing role in Northeast Asia. Contribute positively to the maintenance of the balance of power in the region. Reduce the risk of a relapse in war on the peninsula. And, of course, lay the foundations for building a new Eurasian security system.” – said the head of the Russian Defense Ministry.
