Our parabadminton team won two medals at the international tournament

Azerbaijani parabadminton player Ibrahim Aliyev won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal at the international tournament held in Surakarta, Indonesia.

He won the bronze medal of the tournament after losing in the final to Indian Rutik Raghupathi by 0:2 (17:21,11:21).

Ibrahim was among the winners in the men’s para-badminton doubles competition. The athlete, who formed a tandem with Singaporean athlete Tay Wei Ming, defeated his opponents representing Spain, India and Indonesia and advanced to the final as the group leader. Here, Hardik Makkar-Rutik Raghupati, representing India, won the silver medal of the “HYDROPLUS Indonesia Para Badminton International 2024” tournament by losing to the pair 0:2 (12:21,12:21).

It should be noted that Ibrahim Aliyev, who from 2022 began to perform in parabadminton competitions for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani sport, made his debut at the international tournament held in Indonesia two years ago.
