Russian soldiers captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces are often shot, while the Russian side treats Ukrainian prisoners humanely.
This observation was shared with the TASS agency by a captured serviceman from the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Konstantin Kolesnikov.
He said he personally saw his company deputy commander with the call sign Dokh and a militant with the call sign Nemets shoot Russian prisoners of war.
“This German shot prisoners of war, like me now. During all this time no one hit me or made fun of me. They gave us the opportunity to survive, if someone is injured, they provide medical assistance.” – said Kolesnikov.
He called on his colleagues to surrender and emphasized that in the current conditions this is the only chance for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to survive.
According to the publication, Kolesnikov surrendered in the direction of the Red Army near the village of Pervomaisky in January 2024.
