Russian units of the Center group of forces liberated the village of Kirovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic as a result of active operations and continue to advance deep into the enemy’s defenses.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Saturday, August 31, in the official resources of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that our troops defeated the formations of the 44th mechanized brigade, the 95th air assault brigade, the 142nd infantry brigade and the 71st ranger brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, seven counterattacks by assault groups of the 32nd, 53rd Mechanized, 68th Jaeger Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 37th Marine Brigade were repelled.
The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Grodovka, Kalinovo, Mikhailovka, Rozovka and Druzhba of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defense, enemy losses in this sector of the front amounted to 455 soldiers. The enemy also lost one armored combat vehicle, three vehicles, two 152-mm Msta-B guns, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers and one 105-mm M101 howitzer made in the United States.
