As a result of active actions, Russian units of the Center group of troops completely liberated the village of Zavetnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Thursday, September 5, in the official resources of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It is reported that our troops defeated the manpower and equipment of large units of the 23rd, 24th, 47th, 100th mechanized, 59th motorized infantry, 142nd infantry and 25th airborne infantry brigades.
In addition, eight counterattacks by assault groups of the 53rd assault brigade, the 150th mechanized brigade, the 71st Jaeger brigade, the 95th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 14th and 15th brigades of the National Guard, and the Lyut assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine were repelled.
The fighting took place in the areas of the Dzerzhinsk, Krasnoarmeysk, Shcherbinovka, Grodovka, Zhuravka, Mikhailovka, Selidovo and Memrik settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defence, enemy losses in this sector of the front amounted to 530 servicemen. Two tanks, one armoured personnel carrier, three vehicles, one French-made 155-mm Caesar self-propelled artillery installation, one 152-mm Msta-B howitzer, two 152-mm D-20 guns, three 122-mm D-30 howitzers and one 100-mm Rapier anti-tank gun were also destroyed.
