As a result of active and decisive actions, Russian units of the “South” troop group liberated the village of Zhelannye Vtoroy, Donetsk People’s Republic.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Saturday, October 5, on the official resources of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Units of the “South” group of troops, as a result of active and decisive actions, liberated the village of Zhelannye Vtoroy, Donetsk People’s Republic”, – says the report.
The Russian army reportedly defeated the formations of the 23rd, 54th, 93rd mechanized, 56th motorized infantry, 10th mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 18th National Guard brigade.
Three counterattacks by assault groups of the 59th motorized infantry brigade, the 81st airmobile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 112th air defense brigade were also repelled. The fighting took place in the areas of the Reznikovka, Zvanovka, Bélaya Gora and Maksimilyanovka settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy lost up to 755 servicemen, nine vehicles, one British-made 155mm FH70 howitzer, two 122mm D-30 howitzers and one British-made 155mm M198 howitzer. US, and one M777 155mm howitzer and two M119 105mm cannons.
