Despite the disinformation campaign on social media that have destroyed the work of the Red Cross, they continue to work tirelessly to help in any way possible those affected by the DANA tragedy. Every day, hundreds of volunteers gather go out and collaborate in whatever way they can.
“Our work is with people. By helping people in our work, with the delivery of medicines…”, says Ángel García, technician at the Red Cross emergency unit in Spain.
The main problem, mud. “We take it off the street. We put it in buckets and we put it in ditches that have been dug”says a member of the Red Cross.
The Red Cross has a total of 44 ships. Three of them, in Valencia. Because they are on land, at sea and above all among people.
