NHL star Alexander Ovechkin injured his leg and will be sidelined for four to six weeks. Sports.Ru reports on this.
Ovechkin, 39, collided with a forward from the Utah hockey club on Monday Jack McBain and suffered a crack in his left leg. This is the longest layoff of his NHL career, having previously missed a maximum of six games in a row.
The news also means that the search for the scoring record Wayne Gretzky will be suspended. The NHL’s leading scorer scored 894 goals in his career. Ovechkin currently has 868 goals.
