Last Thursday, November 28, the official welcome to Christmas in Madrid with the switching on of the lights, which will remain lit until the next Three Kings Day, January 6, 2025.

With this grand opening, the Christmas atmosphere is more alive than ever both in the city and throughout the Madrid communitywhich offers major projects in line with this time of year such as the Torrejón de Ardoz Christmas Park, nature on fire, its several ice rinks or the numerous crèches spread throughout the territory.

Another place where you can breathe the magic of Christmas within the Community of Madrid is Chinchon. The town located to the south-east of the capital celebrates this Friday, November 29, its Market of Lights which, as its name suggests, also coincides with the switching on of the Chinchón Christmas lights.

Thanks to this event, the municipality experiences days full of completely free activities and attractions included in the Chinchón Lights Market program, among which parades, a carousel, snow shooting or DIY workshops. Below we leave you the program of this market, which takes place in the popular Plaza Mayor of Chinchón and lasts from November 29 to December 1although the lights will remain on during the holidays.

Also, at the Marché des Lumières Every day there will be activities like the glass workshopduring which master glassmakers will give live demonstrations to create ornaments, figures and decorative pieces. Added to this is the snow shoot, which is carried out every day at the end of the day.
