Paraglider dies in Almería after fall

A paraglider died this Sunday in Pechina, Almería, after suffering a fall, according to the Emergency Coordination Center (Cecem) 112, a service assigned to the Ministry of Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification of the Government of Andalusia.

At 3:45 p.m., 112 received an alert call requesting help for a person who had suffered a fall while paragliding, near the AL-3100 highway, in a mountain area.

Immediately, the coordination center informed the firefighters of the Poniente Consortium of the events, at Air Traffic Control Center, to Coordination and Rescue, the Civil Guard, the Local Police and the Health Emergency Center (CES) 061.

Sources from the Armed Institute confirmed to 112 the death of the injured man. No further information has been released the circumstances in which this event occurred.
