Paris-2024: Lamiya Valiyeva can win a medal for the next time today

Azerbaijani para-athlete Lamiya Valiyeva (T13 category), champion of the 100m at the Summer Paralympic Games held in Paris, the capital of France, can win her next medal today.

According to “Report”, this time the athlete will demonstrate his skills in the 400-meter distance.

The final para-athletics competitions will start at 12:21 Baku time.

Five more Azerbaijani representatives will compete in the tournament today. Another para-athlete, Orkhan Aslanov (T13 category), will try to be among the winners in the long jump.

Khatira Ismiyeva (J1 category, +70 kg), Dursadaf Karimova (J2 category, +70 kg) and Ilham Zakiyev (J1 category, +90 kg) will try to win. The fight will start at 11:30.

Para-swimmer Raman Saley (category S12) can also claim a medal next time. He will compete in the 100-metre butterfly. Qualification will take place at 12:47.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan currently has 7 awards. Imameddin Khalilov (parataekwondo, 70 kg), Said Najafzadeh (long jump) and Lamiya Valiyeva (100-meter dash) won gold, Raman Saley won silver (100-meter backstroke) and bronze (100-meter freestyle), Sabir Zeynalov (parataekwondo, 58 kg) and Vali Israfilov (100-meter breaststroke) won bronze medals. The country is ranked 32nd in the medal ranking. The Paris-2024 Summer Paralympic Games will end on September 8.
