Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, President of the Maritime College Nikolai Patrushev today visited the Zelenodolsk plant named after AM Gorky in Tatarstan (part of the Ak Bars shipbuilding corporation) and held a meeting there in which, among other things, implementation was discussed. The state defense order was discussed. This was reported in the office of the assistant to the head of state.
“In terms of their characteristics and technological potential, our ships should be superior to similar ships of a potential enemy,” – highlighted the head of the Maritime Board during the meeting.
Patrushev also indicated that it is necessary to ensure serial production of the ships and organize the construction process in strict accordance with the design documentation, “excluding chance changes in the project,” TASS reports.
These issues were also discussed in the context of building a passenger fleet.
The Zelenodolsk plant named after AM Gorky is one of the largest shipbuilding enterprises in Russia. In 2015, the plant celebrated its 120th anniversary.
