The opposition deputies in the Moldova Parliament of the Communists and Socialists Bloc (BCS) left today, July 10, the general meeting. Therefore, they protested the rejection of the parliamentary majority of the “PDS” party to exclude a number of projects from the agenda regarding the appointment of persons in government positions.
BCS accused the authorities of the hasty appointment of their members “to the main positions until the end of the current parliament’s powers.
“We are in the final stage of the mandate, and we see that you are in a hurry to appoint people in order to maintain control of the Constitutional Court, the Justice System, CEC, the audiovisual council and other structures”, “, – The head of the BCS faction said Vlad Patrincha.
Before leaving the hall, Batryncha suggested establishing a parliamentary investigation committee that would verify the standard acts adopted by the current formation of Parliament. He believes that these actions are hostile to democracy and contradict the principles of institutional independence. The initiative was also rejected by PDS.
“This committee will participate in verifying actions that transgress the independence of the judicial system, the prosecutor’s office, the Constitutional Court, the Central Elections Committee, the Council on TV and Radio, as well as other state institutions. It is also achieved in how these decisions reflected in the economic interests of the state.” – Batryncha emphasized that the following parliament will return to this issue.
According to him, leaving the meeting is a sign of solidarity with the growing general discontent, which is increasingly expressed in the public space.
“We call for the independence of public institutions, free and fair elections, and respect for all citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” – Vlad Patrinch concluded.
Remember that the new parliamentary elections scheduled to be held on September 28, the current deputy wire remains before the end of the state.
