The president of the Central Administrative Dispute Tribunal number 2 of the National Court refused to take precautionary measures for Rock Rochathus maintaining his two-year disqualification, imposed by the Administrative Court of Sports (TAD), as President of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
Rocha will therefore still not be able to stand as a candidate in the next elections for the presidency of the RFEF – scheduled for September – unless there is an urgent appeal to the Audience NationalOn July 16, the TAD decided to punish Rocha for an offense considered the most serious of the three he is accused of.
In June, the Court proposed Rocha’s disqualification and requested a two-year suspension for each of the three very serious crimes that, according to it, the Extremadura leader had committed. In the end, he was punished for only one of them, the cessation of Andre Camps as secretary general of the RFEF, considering that he had exceeded his functions at the head of the Commission Director.
In addition, Rocha was fined two times €16,527.84 each for the other two offences he was accused of. One of them was the termination of the contract with GC Legal and the other was the appearance of the RFEF as a private accusation in the “Super Cup case”. Rocha submitted the decisions to the Board of Directors to vote, while Camps’ dismissal was pronounced unilaterally.
With the absence of Pedro Rocha, it will be María Ángeles García Chaves, Yaye, who will assume the interim presidency of the Manager. The current first vice-president will be in charge of starting the process of electing a new president with elections in the Assembly, first, and then the appointment of the new president of the RFEF.
