The plan of direct non-refundable aid approved this Thursday by the Council of Ministers for the replacement of vehicles concerned by DANA will only subsidize the replacement of five vehicles at the dealers concerned, as sources from the Ministry of Industry confirmed at Europe Press.
According to a communication from the department headed by Jordi Hereu, The government will offer up to 10,000 euros for each vehicle affected by the stormwhich are included in a package of 465 million euros for the replacement of passenger cars, vans, light trucks and motorcycles.
Likewise, while waiting to know the final text which, as can be expected, will be published next Friday in the Official State Journal, These subsidies will be limited both in amount per receiver and propulsion system. and whether the vehicles are new or used.
And in general Each aid applicant will only be able to claim one grant per damaged vehicle.. In the case of natural persons, if they prove more than one ownership to the DGT of insured damaged vehicles, they will be entitled to a maximum of two subsidies.
In the case of legal entities, i.e. companiesin the automobile sector, mainly dealers, will benefit from aid limited to a maximum of 5 grants.
This, taking into account that the average sales volume of Spanish dealers in the last year was around half a thousand vehicles (500 units), this aid program would barely cover 1% of average total sales.
10,000 euros to buy an electric
Depending on the propulsion system and whether the vehicles are new or used, the aid will be 10,000 euros for the purchase of new electrified cars, and 5,000 euros for thermals and hybrids.
In the case of used vehicles, electrified vehicles will benefit from 4,000 euros of aid and thermal vehicles will have up to 2,000 euros.
As for the motorcyclesfor the new ones there will be aid of 2,000 euros for electrified models and 1,000 euros for thermal or hybrids. If they are over three years old, there will be 1,000 euros of aid for electric motorcycles and 500 euros for thermal and hybrid motorcycles.
In addition, the government has given the “green light” to additional aid of 1,000 euros in cases of reduced mobility which are integrated into an envelope worth three million euros envisaged in the latest royal decree drawn up by the Executive focused on improving accessibility for people with reduced mobility and which can be used to finance “l ‘adaptation of vehicles’.
The period for requesting assistance will be extended until June 30, 2025.
