The Provincial Court of Madrid confirmed that the investigating judge Juan Carlos Peinado investigate if Begoña Gomezwife of the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezappropriated the software developed by the Complutense University of Madrid for the Competitive Social Transformation chair co-directed by the wife of the socialist leader.
The Court thus rejects the appeal of the prosecution, which requested that the head of the investigating court number 41 of Madrid be prevented from investigating whether Begoña Gómez had appropriated the Complutense software.
