Permission for Ukraine to launch missile attacks against the Russian Federation: Putin responded

The Kremlin and State Duma commented on reports that the United States allegedly allowed Ukraine to launch long-range missile attacks on Russian territory.

The Telegram channel “Atheist Breaking” writes about this.

The Russian president’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said the US administration continues to “add fuel to the fire of the conflict,” artificially increasing tension over the situation in Ukraine. According to him, Russia considers the option of freezing the conflict on the current line of hostilities unacceptable.

In turn, Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky stressed that such attacks, if the information is confirmed, will lead to a serious escalation with unpredictable consequences.

He noted that this will create additional problems for the future US administration, which will have to deal not only with the “Ukrainian crisis”, but also with preventing a global confrontation. Russia, he stated, is ready to take the most decisive measures in response.

Previously, Kursor wrote that Ukraine was allowed to fire long-range missiles at the Russian Federation, but there is a nuance.

US President Joe Biden accepted for the first time Ukraine’s use of long-range US missiles to attack Russian territory.

According to Axios, this decision applies exclusively to the Kursk region, where, according to intelligence, the North Korean military is deployed to support the Russian military.

The move, the sources said, is aimed at preventing North Korea from being dragged further into the conflict. The US administration hopes that the attacks on North Korean units will force Pyongyang to reconsider its policy and that the Russian offensive in this region will fail.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that long-range missiles occupy a key place in the country’s strategy. He stressed that Ukraine’s actions are the most convincing argument and that it is high-precision weapons that will demonstrate the power of the Ukrainian army.

At the same time, analysts point out that limiting the use of missiles only to the Kursk region reduces Ukraine’s capabilities. Some experts believe that expanding the scope of use of such weapons could strengthen kyiv’s position in the negotiations and force Russia to reduce attacks on Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that the use of long-range weapons on Russian territory would be considered direct intervention by NATO in the conflict. However, Pentagon officials refrained from commenting on this matter, leaving future developments in a state of uncertainty.
