Peskov did not comment on the issue of testing the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile.

Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not comment on the issue of the Sarmat missile tests, which several Western media reported on the previous day with reference to satellite tracking data.

“We have no information on this matter. This is rather a matter for our military, so I recommend contacting them.” – Peskov told reporters.

On September 22, Western media published satellite images of the failed test of the Russian RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile at the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region. As OSINT analyst MeNMyRC writes, this is the fourth failed test of a new heavy ICBM capable of carrying nuclear warheads. The only successful test of the Sarmat missile took place on April 20, 2022, he claims.

Russian telegram channels recall that some of the failed launches of both the R-36M (“Satan”) and the R-36M UTTH (“Voevoda”), many also recall the failed launches and explosions of the “Bulava” and the same long-suffering “Minutemen”.
