Guests from all countries, including hostile ones, are welcome at the forum of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.
“This is a format that has been running for several decades, until there was a breakdown in relations between the collective West and Russia,” Channel Five quotes Peskov.
The Valdai Club was created to provide Russian specialists from Western countries with the opportunity to obtain first-hand information about what is happening. Do not trust the news in the press, but receive it from members of the government, from politicians and, of course, first of all from the president, Peskov stressed.
He also noted that after the collapse of relations, there were some years when Westerners were not represented at such events, but now there are more and more.
“I am not willing to make them heroes for coming to us. Of course, everyone is welcome here.” – noted Peskov.
