The Ministry of Culture has prepared a story about the Hadrut school where Uzeyir Hajibeyov, a prominent composer, musicologist, scientist, publicist, playwright, teacher and public figure, founder of our national opera, worked in Hadrut.
The story states that the educational institution was built in the historical architectural style of Karabakh and is the building where Uzeyir Hajibeyov began working as a teacher.
The genius composer taught in this building from 1904 to 1905, and after that year it was no longer possible for Mr. Uzeyir to work here as a teacher.
