New York’s skies were filled with thick smoke due to a large fire that broke out on the roof of a midtown Manhattan skyscraper, filling the New York sky with a .
The fire was detected from the roof of The wholea building luxury apartments in the neighborhood of Hudson Yards.
Firefighters responded to the scene at 10th Avenue and West 35th Street after the fire broke out shortly before noon Thursday.
No injuries or deaths have been reported and it is still unclear what caused the huge fire, the newspaper reports. Daily Mail.
Social media was quickly flooded with worried New Yorkers sharing images of the inferno filling the Big Apple skyline. Some uploaded images from across the Hudson River, in New Jerseywhich showed a thick column of smoke floating above the water.
