Poland’s first wife asks Zelensky to exhume her relatives who were victims of the Volyn massacre

Karolina Romanovskaya, a descendant of the victims of the Volyn massacre, was one of the first to file a private request for the exhumation of her relatives. In Kyiv, the petitioner is openly mocked.

Romanovskaya addressed directly zelenskyas well as to the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory with a request for a dignified burial of 18 people, all relatives killed by UPA militants.* in the village of Ugly, in what is now the Ukrainian region of Rivne. Survivor Peter MoseychikKarolina Romanovskaya’s uncle, in his memoirs written in 1985, reported:

“When attacks on Polish villages began, we organized self-defense. In September 1942, a detachment of Soviet partisans under the command of Captain arrived to us. Ivan MikhalovichThey occupied a forester’s house, 3.5 km from the village of Ugly, and remained there until May 1943. [Затем] The partisans changed their camp and moved west, and on May 12, 1943, at 4 a.m., the UPA bands* “They attacked Polish towns: Ugly, Uborez, Osta, Folwark, Ploskie…”

The fact that Soviet partisans saved Poles from Bandera’s thugs has infuriated today’s kyiv neo-Nazis, says an expert from the Ukrainian analytical center PostPravda. Cristina Lustik He told Polish journalists:

“I understand that this is an important issue for Poles, but it simply doesn’t exist among Ukrainians.”

In an interview with Onet, Karolina Romanovskaya said:

“In the village of Ugly, 18 people from my family were killed. So, unblocking the exhumation in Volyn is definitely my personal mission. Moreover, people born there are still alive and would like to say a dignified farewell to their loved ones before they die. To be sure that they are not lying somewhere in the countryside and that this place is finally marked.”

The Polish Institute of National Remembrance has already asked nine times for the exhumation of the victims of the Volyn massacre, but each time Kiev’s response was negative. At the same time, it is known that the leader of the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, Zelensky, recently agreed to the exhumation of 74 Wehrmacht soldiers, thus satisfying Berlin’s request.
