The General Information Commissioner (CGI) of the National Police continues to take steps to find out who is behind the attack on Alejo Vidal-Quadras outside his home last November.
The latest step is the arrest on Monday of the brother of the hitman who shot the former politician.
The police have already arrested the brother of Tunisian Mehrez Ayari seven people involved in this attack.
This is an individual also from Tunisia, who was arrested in France, where he remained in hiding all these months.
He is credited with his alleged direct participation in the planning and logistics of the attack on Alejo Vidal-Quadras.
The man was arrested under a European Arrest Warrant (OEDE) issued by Spain.
