The Georgian Interior Ministry reported on the dispersion of a protest rally in Tbilisi, during which law enforcement officers detained 107 people.

The press service of law enforcement agencies confirmed that the avenue in front of the Georgian Parliament is currently free. 10 police officers are also reported to have been injured in clashes with protesters.

Recall that another surge in protests occurred in Georgia after the authorities decided to freeze negotiations on the country’s accession to the European Union until the end of 2028. This decision was made by the ruling Georgian Dream party.

Last night, protesters again set up barricades, burned garbage containers, threw rocks and smoke bombs at security forces and also set off fireworks.

In addition, they began to dismantle the office of the ruling Georgian Dream party on Rustaveli Avenue, after throwing eggs at it.

As reported EADailyIn this sense, the Ministry of the Interior of Georgia stated that the demonstration went beyond the law, the protesters damaged the infrastructure and the doors of the parliament. After this, the decision was made to disperse the demonstration.
