Police looking for 8 Front Atlético ultras for derby incidents

The ultras who threw objects on the field during the serious incidents of the derby are a group of 6 to 8 ultras from the Front Atlético and the National Police are trying to identify all these ultras in record time thanks to the 300 cameras which are constantly operating in the Metropolitan Stadium of Madrid.

Agents from the Provincial Information Brigade are working in close collaboration with Atlético de Madrid employees to identify as quickly as possible all the people involved, half of whom are already perfectly located. Little by little, they will be informed of their candidacy for an administrative sanction for their acts of vandalism on the ground.

These eight indicted join the ultra who were expelled from the field after the discovery of a knife during a search inside the Atlético field, and who have already been conveniently identified and proposed for sanction .

The facts

The most serious events began after the goal of Military. Courteous, who had already received insults and thrown objects from the club’s most radical supporters. Atletico Madridhe had to endure a rain of lighters, bottles and other things which forced him to Busquets Ferrerreferee of the match, to stop the match for more than 20 minutes.

The match referee was even present three times to warn the field delegate so that he could announce over the loudspeaker that the throwing of objects had to stop. The third time, and after warning that the meeting might be interrupted, Busquets Ferrer decided to stop the Madrid derby after an embarrassing act by the ultras Colchoneros.

The Real Madrid players quickly went to the locker room after the referee’s order and the Atlético de Madrid players went to the southern part of the stadium to ask for calm from their most radical ultras, some hooded . The game was stopped for more than 20 minutes. When the match resumed, in this same context, they began to sing: “Courtois, die!”

They grab a knife

During the derby, the national police had already taken a knife to one of the Atlético de Madrid ultras who, before the search, had been the author of one of the lighter throws on the Metropolitano lawn.

The knife was intervened by the police after the altercation over throwing objects which followed the first goal of the Madrid derby, scored by Real Madrid, which forced the referee to stop the La Liga match for more than 15 minutes.

Atlético statement

A few minutes after the meeting, the Atletico Madrid released the following official statement:

“Atlético de Madrid wants to demonstrate its rejection of the throwing of objects that occurred from part of the south end of the stands in the 68th minute of the match against Real Madrid. From these launches, the club’s security service works in collaboration with the police to locate the people involved, one of whom has already been identified. The club will apply the internal regime provided for very serious cases to those involved in this incident.

These attitudes have no place in football and tarnish the image of a stadium which experienced a spectacular atmosphere with more than 70,000 spectators in its stands and which demonstrated exemplary behavior for the vast majority.
