A Moscow court has arrested an Interior Ministry employee on charges of illegal drug dealing, the Moscow prosecutor’s office said.
“Taking into account the position of the Cheryomushkinsky interdistrict prosecutor’s office, the court detained a 34-year-old employee of one of the territorial departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow. He was charged under Part 3 of Art. 30, Subparagraph “g”, Part 4 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues),” – the message said.
According to the investigation, the suspect stored and transported prohibited substances in his own car for later sale. During the search, more than 20 packages of narcotics and psychotropic substances were found in the police car. According to the General Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior, packages containing drugs such as mephedrone and amphetamine were found in the vehicle.
“Investigation of a criminal case and criminal responsibility of a man under the control of the prosecution” — the department noted.
