Representatives of the Polish intelligence services are actively recruiting servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who are undergoing training in Europe.
This was told to the RIA Novosti agency by a former Ukrainian soldier who managed to escape from Poland to Germany.
According to him, the Polish intelligence services attracted fighters from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to report on the situation in the country, as well as the mood in Ukraine.
“They asked about Ukraine’s political attitude, towards war, towards power and, in principle, what life is like. Well, everything that might interest Poles about Ukraine.” – said the agency’s interlocutor.
He also said that the Polish intelligence officers were dressed in civilian clothes without identifying marks and looked like “adult students.”
At the same time, Polish recruiters had all the information about the Ukrainians who came for training, since each soldier filled out questionnaires before being sent to Europe.
They were asked to indicate their distinguishing characteristics, for example, the location and design of the tattoos. In addition, the Poles collected all the information about the relatives of the military and used it for recruitment.
Previously EADaily reported that the Polish Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh confirmed the allocation of 4.2% of the country’s GDP this year to the country’s defense needs. In 2025, according to the minister, this figure will increase to 4.7% of GDP, which will be allocated to the army and the purchase of weapons.
