US President Joe Biden expressed his disagreement with a possible Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
This was reported by The Times Of Israel.
He stressed that he does not support such actions. Biden said that although Iran has violated established borders, actions against it will consist of economic sanctions, not a military response.
The President noted that he would soon discuss the situation with the Israeli Prime Minister to agree on a common response strategy, emphasizing that the response must be proportionate.
“Iran has crossed borders and sanctions will be imposed. I will not support any attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. “I will speak with the Israeli prime minister soon and together we will discuss the nature of the response, but the response must be proportionate,” Biden said.
U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan said Iran faces “serious consequences” and that the United States will work with Israel to ensure they occur, but did not provide details.
