He noted that the international community highly values his contribution and any attack against him is categorically rejected by the United States.
This statement was made in response to a Channel 13 report, which suggested that al-Sistani could be one of Israel’s elimination targets.
In Iraq, this message provoked harsh condemnation and authorities asked UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres to issue a similar statement against such actions.
