The plenary session of the Fuenlabrada City Council will dedicate part of its time this Thursday to the debate on whether the menas center of La Cantueña should be called “Isabel Díaz Ayuso”, as proposed by the PSOE, as a revenge for the decision of the regional president to accommodate unaccompanied minors. foreigners in a “container” in an industrial area. The motion will go ahead, thanks to the absolute majority that the PSOE has in this municipality, but this does not mean that the menas center will bear the name of the regional president, since this decision corresponds to the Community of Madrid, which owns the facilities.
During the debate, the PP spokesperson, Noelia Núñez, will refute the proposal of the socialist mayor, Javier Ayala, and will regret that the city council, with all the problems that Fuenlabrada is experiencing, is wasting time debating the name of the center.
The PP spokesman believes that if a name had to be given, it would be that of Pedro Sánchez, because he is the main person responsible for the immigration policy and the lack of effective measures in the face of the massive arrival of irregular immigrants.
Before the plenary session, Noelia Núñez will meet with the president of the Movement Against Intolerance, Esteban Ibarra, to show together their rejection of the mayor’s statements against the Menas center, which, according to her, he has “stigmatized”. “The mayor of Fuenlabrada and the entire PSOE of the city are dragging the name of Fuenlabrada in an imposed political war that has been generated to hide the fact that what really drives him to reject the center for minors is racism,” accused Noelia Nunez.
“If Mr. Ayala wants to leave minors on the street, he must be brave and say so, but he must not start an artificial war against the Community of Madrid for having complied with the legal mandate to welcome minors,” he warned.
According to him, Ayala’s “steps” in this matter “go from calling the center a ‘container’ to now presenting an unserious proposal, based on sarcasm, that treats the issue of immigration in a frivolous manner.” “Being mayor of Fuenlabrada, a city that is characterized not only by its solidarity but also by its respect, is too much for him,” he warned. That is why the PP is demanding the resignation of the mayor, Javier Ayala.
