PP expels its only councilor in Vita for not supporting a motion of censure against the mayor who sang about the rape of a girl

Antonio Martín will remain mayor of Vita after councilor Raúl Blázquez refused to support a motion of censure, which led to his departure from the Popular Party, which finds itself without representation in this city council.

As reported by the PP through a press release, this party chose to remain without presence at the Vita Town Hall “In response to the no of Councilor Raúl Blázquez, to articulate a motion of censure against the mayor after the events he committed at the end of last August when he sang a pedophile song during the city’s festivities. In this way, this councilor will have the status of non-attached.

The provincial president of the PP, Carlos Garcia, underlines in the statement that “this refusal prevents the execution of a motion of censure, “But our party cannot support Antonio Martín Hernández remaining mayor after what happened at a concert during the holidays.”

“Given the situation, given the impossibility of reaching an agreement to articulate the motion of censure, and since no one can have the file of a democratically elected representative, whether councilor or any other type, removed from them except by judicial means, we accept that Blázquez, together with the mayor, assumes beyond our acronyms the personal, political and management responsibility of the Consistory“, comments García, who sends a message to the people of Vita, to whom he assures that “the commitment of the PP, through the administrations where it continues to be represented, such as the Provincial Council, the Cortes de Castilla y León and the Cortes Generales, to continue working in favor of the municipality, providing well-being and opportunities” and reiterating “the convictions and values of the party regarding the rejection and condemnation of any act or attitude related to sexist violence and pedophilia.”

Carlos Garcia warns that this situation “also occurs due to the zero involvement of the third councilor in the governance of the municipal council, demonstrated during these fifteen months of mandate by his presence at two of the six plenary sessions held”, and underlines that “this is what happens when there are political parties that dedicate themselves to filling the electoral lists with family, friends and acquaintances with the sole aim of enhancing their presence, but without offering any interest or real dedication to the task”, in reference to Por Avila, party in which the third councilor of the commune is active.
