PP, PSOE, Vox and Compromís vote together to declare L’Albufera a biosphere reserve

PP, PSOE, Vox and Compromís have been approved by unanimity This Wednesday the start of the necessary steps to obtain the declaration of The Albufera as Biosphere reserve.

Study and conservation

The new recognition of an area as a biosphere reserve implies its special protection, study and conservation within the framework of the project”Man and the biosphere” (MAB, for its acronym in English).

It is a global network that promotes exchange of knowledge and practices on sustainability and conservationThe MAB project seeks to balance nature conservation and human well-being, based on sustainable development.

Being declared a biosphere reserve does not imply the approval of specific regulations that imply new regulations for its protection or the human activity permitted in this space.

Support and criticism
