Indonesia officially became a full member of the BRICS economic group in January 2025. The appearance of the Indonesian delegation marks the seriousness of the government in playing an active role in the formation of a new and balanced new global economic order.
Earlier, BRICS leaders discussed a number of global political issues and security issues, such as long conflicts in various regions, global management reforms and strengthening multilaterality.
