President Prabowo Subianto was first attended by Brics High Level (Summit) conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 6-7, 2025. Since January 1, 2025, Indonesia has officially become a full member of Brics.
While in Rio -de -Zhanero, in addition to participating in the BRICS summit series, President Prabavo also had to hold a number of bilateral meetings to improve cooperation in various fields quoted by the Indonesia Foreign Ministry, Sunday (6/7/2025).
BRICS leaders will discuss a number of political issues and global security, such as long conflicts in various regions, global management reforms and strengthening multilaterality.
In addition, BRICS leaders will also raise various problems and opportunities for economic and financial cooperation, as well as other issues, such as artificial intelligence management, environment and climatic actions, as well as global health.
President Prabovo Subanto, who was present for the first time, will use this opportunity to voice the attitude and position of Indonesia as a “bridge builder” in various global problems and collective efforts in the midst of an increasingly uncertain situation in the world.
As a country that is included in the Global South, as well as members of the G20, Indonesia will use the BRICS forum as a platform to fight for more fair and inclusive global cooperation, as well as promote national interests in various areas of economics, finance, education and technology.
