On November 12, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Edi Rama.

AZERTAC informs that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between SOCAR, the Albanian Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the company “Albgaz”. This project, which will be implemented by SOCAR, will significantly contribute to the decarbonization process by avoiding the use of charcoal and firewood in Korca, Albania, making it a decarbonization project.

During the conversation, the Prime Minister of Albania thanked President Ilham Aliyev for his comprehensive and meaningful speech at the opening ceremony of the Leaders’ Summit of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
